Tonight I'm relaxing after a day spent playing with my granddaughters.  (If I could just borrow a fourth of their energy for a day, I'd get sooo much accomplished!)  The best time of the day was just before bedtime, when I read them a chapter from Prince Caspian.  (We've already finished The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.)  It means so much to get the privilege of reading these books to them, since they were the first books I read to my own kids when they were very young.  I never thought I would enjoy being a grandmother, but now that I am, I think it's the best deal on Earth!  Grin

I love guinea pigs, they're a much undervalued pet. Not by you, though, obviously.  Cool

Definitely! One of the best things is to cuddle him whilst laying on the sofa - he'll climb up my cheat,  tuck his cheek under my chin and settle down for up to an hour before sitting up and giving me a look which means 'Toilet please, daddy'

oh, he is. We have a friend who runs a shelter for them who stated that he is the sort of pig that you only meet once in a lifetime

Okay, let's see if I can remember the form topics ...

Interests: Reading, writing (if only I could!), photography, weight-lifting

Pets: Three kitties - Midnite, the outdoor kitty; Caesar, the big bubba boy; and tiny, petite little Raven, the wild child.

Favorite books: Um, wow, too numerous to mention, really. I notice many of you like the Sherlock Holmes stories - I actually learned to read with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I was always a half grade behind in reading until third grade, when we moved and found a very old set of the complete works of Arthur Conan Doyle up in the attic of the new place. I enjoyed the Basil Rathbone films (which are sorely dated and dogmatic now-a-days), so I started carrying a volume of Holmes stories around the house with the big dictionary. Is why I have such a singular vocabulary now. But I love the Three Musketeer books by Dumas, poetry by Yeats, the plays of Joe Orton plus a whole list of current authors.

Favorite Films: Clash of the Zeus Men (look it up, if you dare, but don't blame me if it freaks you out - Buahahahahaha!); Army of Darkness; Gunga Din; Tam Lin ......

Favorite Music: Hmmm ... Frank Sinatra, Clannad, Moody Blues, Johnny Cash, Pavaratti ...

Favorite TV Shows: A BUNCH! Stargate, Star Trek, The Good Guys, Firefly, The Burning Zone, Forever Knight, Blake's 7, Lovejoy, Deadwood, UFO (or course), Cheyenne, The Man From UNCLE, and the list goes on and on and on and on ......................

Favorite UFO Character: I know I'm gonna get reemed for this, but gotta say Paul Foster!

Favorite UFO Episode: Kill Straker! & Court Martial ...

Guilty Secret: Not so secret and I'm not really guity about it - my growing porn collection.  Smiley

Did I miss anything??

Grin No you're not! Paul has gotten picked on a lot in fan fic (I've done it myself), but he is an excellent character when written well. Denise really liked the way I portrayed him in Expecting. In fact in my Hewett Series timeline Paul takes over for Ed as Commander of SHADO. (When Ed finally retires.)

We still got the cheer going on to break your writer's block! Smiley Smiley

That's just because you fell for his hairy chest!  Cheesy  Actually, although I don't consider him leader material without a LOT of growth, he's not a bad guy to have on your side.  He did get the chance to mature a bit in the later episodes, but there just wasn't enough time to get him to the place he needed to be before the show ended.  I mature him a lot for my stories (well, most of them anyway!)

I think he has a lot of potential. And I had him take over SHADO after Ed retires, too. Smiley

Hi, everybody.  Just dropped in for a quick second, them I'm burrowing back under my rock.

Pets: dogs, many!  Daisy May - a rescue we adopted because she had/has the SADDEST eyes on the planet.
Little Bit - a chihuahua mix, also a rescue, and my sister's constant lap warmer.  Misty Marie - a lab mix who just showed up here.  Haven't been able to find her a home because she's gun shy and likes to eat cats and small dogs.  Bunny Bear - another chihuahua mix, also just showed up here (while we were on vacation).  Benji Bear, Baxter Bear, Bailey Bear, Bonnie Bear and Bella Bear - were born three weeks after Bunny arrived.  She still won't tell us who daddy is, but he was big:  Benji weighs almost 25 pounds.  There's also Mouse, an orange medium hair tabby who thinks she's a dog -- Bitty caught her when she was four weeks old and she's been with us since.  Oh, and Sheba, the siamese who came with the house, and her son Ringo and daughter Spot.  And the neighbor's orange tom, Goldie.    Add in a couple of other tomcats, an ugly male dog who roams the neighborhood, a racoon and a few possums, and we've got our own zoo.  (Everyone is spayed/neutered now, exept three of the puppies, and they will be as soon as my bank account can afford it.)

Interests: sewing, gardening, reading, cooking, eating.  Especialy eating. Grin

Favourite book: Sorry, can't pick just one.  Love the In Death series, and anything by Kay Hooper.  Just books in general.

Favourite movie: Sound of Music.  Okay, so I'm weird.

Favourite music: Anything 60s or 70s.

Favourite UFO character:  Ford.  Who else?

Favourite UFO episode: Kill Straker.  Court Marshall.

Guilty secrets: that would be telling!

Favourite tv series ever:  Um... gee.  Can't answer that one.  Too many to list.

Julie!  I love the In Death series too!  I own them all -- even though my shelf space is so limited.  I just can't do without Eve and Roarke!  Kiss

What's your favorite Kay Hooper?  Have you read her Bishop series?

Matt walks into the lounge, grabs a cup of Earl Grey (because the coffee isn't fit to drink), sits down on the couch (next to Ginny of course Kiss), and relaxes after a long day of fighting tax forms. Shocked (I'd rather face an entire alien fleet, than the IRS.) Grin

Some of you non-Brits may know there's a wedding in London next week that is attracting a bit of attention. You've probably seen this YouTube clip of the wedding rehearsal?
