I'm currently reading The Entropy Effect by Vonda McIntyre. [ST:TOS] I just finished Seven Of Nine by Christie Golden, [ST:VOY] and Unspoken Truth by Margaret Wander Bonanno. The trilogy [Mirage, Chimera, and Aurora] was excellent and made me nostalgic for dear Isaac. *sigh* The world is a lesser place without his great mind. Tiedemann did a superb job in staying within Asimov's basic style while introducing elements that The King of Sci-Fi never got the chance to explore. I'd recommend this trilogy to anyone who enjoyed reading Asimov's robot tales. The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

I'm going to download some of the mirror universe novels, for research, of course! What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged

I've got to tell you, the more I read about this particular FBI agent, the more he sounds like Straker. I wonder if these two guys ever watched UFO when they were kids? : The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

That one is part of the mirrior universe series so I'm doing research for Dark SHADO. I'm in the middle of Crossroad by Barbara Hambly. What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged

Her fantasy work is impeccable. *sigh* I guess it's time for another Amazon book order. However, I did pick up 2 Jeri Taylor ST:Voyager novels at my local secondhand bookstore. Mosaic and Pathways. Haven't read them yet, though. Have you? The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

I bit the bullet and did it. 3 Barbara Hambly Star Trek novels headed my way! Say, Matt. Have you read her vampire novels? They totally rock. Also her Antryg Windrose Chronicles. They're my faves. Oh yeah, I read more since I've gotten my Kindle too. I just finished Worth Dying For by Lee Child and I'm re-reading/skimming back over 61 Hours cuz I forgot to take notes when I read it and I need to update my webpage. I can't remember the kill count. Heh, I always make note of Reacher's kill count in each book. (Record high is 14 and record low is actually ZERO, can you believe THAT?) I'll need to re-read a couple Falco books in preparation for the cross-over story I'm working on. (But there are so many fanfic stories I need to get to!) Yeah, I'm a smutty-minded perv - what of it? Just finished 'the sociopath next door' by Martha Stout, ph.d. It really is scary and I recommend it - good advice on how to detect and deal with that 4% of the population that causes so much trouble for the rest of us. Interesting - one clue I'd forgotten about. The 'pity play' - the "oh woe is me, my life is so terrible you should feel sorry for me and forget how horrible I am to you - it's somebody else's fault I'm a ..." Pity short-circuits the ability to accurately judge when you're being conned. Lucky, 96% of the population isn't out to get you. If you only have one solution to a problem - you're not trying. Excellent movie, hilarious characters -- except the witch. They drew her a little too true to life. God, it makes me cringe whenever she says a line. Soooo damn controlling!
