Amelia - don't worry. There were no claims on characters and Jo's interesting enough to have LOTS of stories.

Oooooo!  Shocked  Very well done, Deb.  I'm glad she was left to find her own way home.  Straker might be a gentleman, but really -- even he has his limits.  Wink

When I turned this one around for her POV I realized there were plot holes I hadn't even recognized. Like - if she was actually planning on getting him into a blackmailable situation, what was her plan to get him? Huh

Very nice take on this Deb. Wink I still wouldn't have made her walk home, but that's me. :Smiley

Very true.

Great story, Deborah. It's fascinating how a good writer can take something we all know - and find / add nuances and layers that really flesh out the episode.

And yeah, there are plot - snags? Not quite holes. Like if Jo's car is hired or leased, it wouldn't be straightforward for a "mere" studio executive to track down its owner who's staying at a hotel. Or even tracking her down to her home. Though, of course, the head of SHADO would find it considerably easier. But that he traced her so quickly would have (further) piqued her curiosity I suspect, once she'd had chance to analyse the event in detail. Maybe during her walk.  Grin

One other thing:
Quote:
He turned to leave, the tape still in his hand. She grabbed her purse and swung it at him. He fell to his knees and she grabbed the tape before running out to her car.

Didn't a vase feature in this scene ?!?  Wink

Oh probably - but I had actually written this from Straker's POV before and I used her purse then. I think a vase or lamp would have hurt him to much. Besides - what self respecting cheap motel would have a vase sitting around? Heck, some of them bolt down the BED.

I thought Straker said "Did I make an appointment?"  I haven't watched it in a long time.

Quote:
Josephine settled onto the bench. “So, how long have you worked for Mister Straker?”

Just my personal take on it, but I seriously doubt Ealand would have told her  anything, even what time it was. Ealand watched her very carefully, picked up the man-eater signals.

Jo claims the car was on hire, but remember, later we find out it was hers. So records would have the genuine licence on file.
Thank God the bed was bolted down, I don't think Straker would have survived that blow.  Cheesy
It was originally an ashtray she was supposed to have hit him with, but I don't recall where I read that. Angry

I always hoped she walked home.  Grin She may have hitched a ride.

Straker said he followed the directions on the can.

That 'guy with a camera' that Straker describes. You pay me big bucks or the incriminating sex photos hit the papers/rags tomorrow.
Remember, Ealand says (if I recall) something her doing it 5 times.   Jo has a record 'as long as your arm' I think Ford says.
