Okay. As Denise has finished Face Off, and MAtt  is progressing very well indeed with Distant Memories, here's a challenge for the next story;

Title; Glitch in the Machine

Rules; each author's story MUST end with the phrase they have currently on this site under their name. I'm not sure if Dragon has a 'quote' in which case she must use 'Why do my wings itch'

Extra Points will be awarded to authors who use other authors phrases in their own stories!

<snerk> I am so gonna love fitting "??????" and "Why do my wings itch" into a story. Actually, as a last line, it will work quite well ... Not that I don't have enough issues with ... Oh heavens ... <snerk   laughter>

Madam Challenge Setter here!

No Idea.. when do you want it? I am away from the 30th July to 7th ish August.. oh the withdrawal symptoms I will be suffering .. No internet access for 8 days.. how will I manage without writing or emailing or reading the forum!!!

I'm quite happy to wait until someone says that they are ready to post!

Don't tell me Matt.. you've started already?  I can go off people very quickly you know!
I thought probably not for another four weeks... or is that too long?

Hey Matt... be daring... do a stand alone.. it's incredibly 'scary' in a way..I was terrified when I did a 'long' story that wasn't in the Rachel Chronicles, ( Break Time) as I had no 'background' to support my story, but I wish I'd done it much earlier. It opened the way for FarSight,  The Bodyguard,Lines of Communication and then Brief Encounters .

  I was so pleased with FarSight.. it was hard bringing in a different character and trying to make sure that she didn't come across the same as Rachel.. not enough just to have her look different, she had to BE different. I' not sure how successful I was, but it opened up a whole new story world. Dark Matter is great fun... and FarSight made me attempt  a trilogy story, which I hadn't done before either.
That is a different story style as well!

I am seriously thinking of doing Glitch without Ed Straker in as a main character. -- just a peripheral one ( thats the second time I've used that word today! Do I get bonus points?)
ANyway.. challenge for Louise.. write a story without Ed as main person........ 


AS for busy time at work.... Yippeee! six weeks holiday starting July 23rd!!  Boy will I be writing adn drawing .. when I'm not away in Edinburgh and St Andrews!

I haven't started yet still noodling an idea. I start vacation in August so I will probably work on it then.

I do have an idea for UFO rocks and why do my wings itch!
