He was devious and cunning, and always had a hidden agenda. I sometimes felt that he could end up being more of a threat to SHADO than the aliens ever were. And I LOVED the way Vladek Sheybal played him!!!! So I guess I paid close attention to his speech patterns, facial movements, etc. He was the doctor out of my every nightmare. And that distrust I felt was sealed by the fact that Straker never really trusted him either. Ed Bishop remarked more than once in interviews over the years that it was a waste of time trying to look good in any scene with the doctor, because Sheybal always stole the scene! He considered him a consummate actor, and you know, he was! IP Logged
