The first part came to me last night. This will be short but powerful. I too hated the way the poor kitty was demonized in TCWTL. I saved Ginny's reputation, can I save the kitty? What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged

Having the cat interrupt them like that! *snicker* Great short short, Matt! It read almost like a follow-up episode to TCWTL and was easy to visualize. Good work! My own muse has gone off the rails and eschewed writing lately. Instead I've been heavily into collage art, one of my passions. I haven't even been sewing and, with Halloween only a week away, that says a lot! We'll see how the weekend goes and if I can get going on my Paul story. *sigh* It would be more incentive if it was my Alec or Straker story next. Foster's just not my fave. I wonder if the readers will feel cheated if I intersperse his story with bits of Ginny's continuing, just so that I don't get so bored that I quit halfway through? What do you think? Yeah, at this point in my story arc, they are still dancing around their feelings, so having Sam be the jealous kitty worked well, UST to the max! I'll be putting my notes up later, but I was torn about the ending, what it boiled down to is, I wanted the time that Ginny and Sam had together to be precious, so even though the epilogue is sad, we see that Sam touched more than just Ginny's life. It was a bittersweet ending. Hopefully your muse comes out of hiding and you can get on to Paul's part. I don't think anyone would feel cheated, it blends the stories together, especially if you do the same thing when you start part three. Oooo, look at all the new smilies! What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged
