(As in Straker's 'shut up, Alec!' In fact, I can hear him saying it to you, so pay attention!) Some of us will never get caught up on their author's notes! I thought I could take this time while I'm on vacation and at least get some of them done -- I have over 30 to do -- but my mind isn't cooperating. All I want to do at the end of each day is crawl into bed and sleep! Vacations wear you out!!!! However, it's been good to see you getting yours done and to hear your thoughts on your stories. You're an example to us all. And now that you're caught up, stop reminding us that we're not! The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

Reply #3 - Oct 7th, 2011 at 7:13pm Print Post Matt Hewett snaps to attention, "Yes Commander." grabs Gin by the hand, and stalks out of Straker's office, muttering something about efficiency being frowned upon in this establishment. I only had three to do, so my task wasn't nearly as daunting as yours would be. And it's much harder after the fact. Vacation? I had one of those, once, I should take some time off, but everytime I think about it, another project comes down the road. I've got almost seven weeks on the books, not counting personal time. In that way, I'm just like Ed! : Somebody told me once, work will always be there, I should listen. What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged

Reply #4 - Oct 8th, 2011 at 11:19pm Print Post *sigh* For some of us, work is our play! I remember Asimov saying that his wife forced him to go on vacation with her each year, so he'd take along his typewriter so he could set up a table on the patio and write while she went off and enjoyed their surroundings!
