I just had a thought, had Bob lake lived, he might have been Ed boss. Now there's a plot untwist! What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged

I think you mean recount. But aside from that - great melding of history with fiction. If you only have one solution to a problem - you're not trying. IP Logged

Sorry Denise, must be getting old. I fixed the wrong word, good catch Deb. I kind of like Lt. Colonel Lake, it's too bad about what happens to him. Now I have to figure out a way for Ginny to meet him one day, hmmm. What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged

Posts: 658 Location: Washington (not DC) Re: FDK The Gift Reply #6 - Jun 5th, 2011 at 3:21pm Print Post I drive the general editors over at L&C crazy with my vocabulary - I actually have one I choose not to work with - insisted defuse should be spelled diffuse. (Um one you do to a bomb, the other is what happens if you miss on the first one.) This last GE I actually gave a list of 'words you do not even ask about'. She came back with 'I don't even know what these MEAN!' If you only have one solution to a problem - you're not trying. IP Logged

My friends are always telling me that they have to look up words I've used in the dictionary after I go home! Seriously?! *sigh* It just proves that too few people read these days. Television has robbed us of a rich and intriguing vocabulary. Sad times we live in. The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

And he's thinking about Lynn having to raise Ginny alone. That's so sad ... and so prophetic! I love flashback stories for that very reason! The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

He was the General who was at Hascom when Ed went to the base to use the secure communications link. It all ties together. I love stories that are intertwined with history. The final version is in the library. I could have made this much longer and detailed the events into the raid, but I wanted to keep it short. (The details of the raid would be from Henderson's account anyway.) Now I can get back to my other stories, I left poor Paul(a) in a wee bit of a sticky wicket in my gender bender tale.
