Apr 22nd, 2011 at 4:15pm Print Post This is the second day of my incarceration, and I'm tired of looking at nature through a window! Can I please have some of Claire's warm weather, so that I'm not glaring at the rain and sneezing against the chill? The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

Praying for warn weather for Deb's tomatoes. Here in Rhode Island it's been around 50-60, but windy as anything. I need to get up on the roof and repair one of my antennas. What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged

Reply #4 - Apr 22nd, 2011 at 4:48pm Print Post Thanks for the sympathy, guys! I just wish we could go back to the lovely weather we had last week. It was going out in this mess that got me sick in the first place. I'm a bit better today, but still not enough to venture back outside. It sucks! The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. You'll probably find writing will aid your recovery. <tongue-in-cheek > (But bad weather doesn't cause colds, you know... viruses do...) < ducks-and-runs > We need rain! It's officially a drought here. And so hot for April. Our rainwater capture system is down to 50% full - which is insane for April. It's usually upwards of 100%, ie with the surplus running off down the hillside. IP Logged

Reply #6 - Apr 22nd, 2011 at 5:45pm Print Post You can have our rain. We have more than our share right now. I'm constantly having to unplug my laptop and run on the batteries, because the storm systems just keep coming through! Yes, I know it's the viruses, but still. If it would stay warm like April is supposed to do, I wouldn't have caught one! > And I still have a few outfits to complete for the show a week from Saturday. Aaaaack! Shame there's no wind it would get over there quicker. Stay warm and drink plenty of fluids like Deb says. Horrible knowing you're not well, take care. IP Logged

Reply #13 - Apr 24th, 2011 at 11:13am Print Post Denise, Get well please!! But if you could hang around for an hour or so ... I may be joining you . Yesterday, woke up with what looks like an insect bite on my leg which may (or may not be) heading towards cellulitis! It's on a part of my leg that has dodgy skin and the slightest thing sets it off. Last time was 2006 and it was awful, so hoping this doesn't go up too . IP Logged
