Posts: 658 Location: Washington (not DC) May Challenge Apr 16th, 2011 at 6:22pm Print Post For May - choose a minor (even an unnamed character) and tell us their story or version of events. Suggestions - Rutland, Jo Frazer, the divers in SubSmash, the bomb experts in Long Sleep, the captain in Destruction. Try to limit it to 5000 words or less. If you only have one solution to a problem - you're not trying. IP Logged

It was an idea I got last week and my stubborn muse said, "Hey boy, write!" Then she started cracking the whip. So there you have it, she does rule the roost. What do you mean, we're out of coffee! And he was much more likable than the other role Madoc played in the show: Rutland. But I don't know if I want to do a story around him, much as I liked him. I'll have to think about this some more. All sorts of good plot bunnies. What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged

Either they're grasping b*tches like Jo or they're stupid enough to get involved with Foster. Yuck! I think I need to rewatch a few episodes. The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. She seemed to have quite a wicked side to her character. Didn't you write a Joan story in your Conover saga, Denise? IP Logged

It took way too long to marry her off to her drummer. She just wouldn't cooperate. The problem with using one of the Moonbase girls is that I've seen them with Straker -- and there was no spark. Even in SubSmash, the heat was all on Nina's side (which is why the scene in the hospital was so pathetic!) Kill the writer! Kill the writer! The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. I was surprised how well Nina and Ginny get along in my stories, they just took too each other, in fact Nina knows things about Ginny that Gay doesn't. That surprised be as they are both strong willed. (I loved having Nina prep Ginny for her meeting with Ed at the airport. ) But like you, I find that the characters work best when you let them do what's natural. Now here would be a tough one, Qof P from Mary's POV. I could have some fun with that! What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged
