Neesierie Colonel Offline Straker, somehow it's always about you. Posts: 990 Location: Fulton, MO UFO: A Fairy Tale FDK Feb 17th, 2011 at 3:44pm Print Post Okay. Here we go. This story has been itching to be written for some time now, but I wasn't sure at first if I could write it in a believable manner. I surprised myself. In this story I combine my two favorite obsessions: Straker and fairies. I've done it before, but not seriously. This time it's for real. The title tickles me, but please note that I may change it later in an effort to tame it down. We'll see. Feel free to comment on my story and/or its title, but be aware ahead of time that I won't change anything to suit you. It's my story. « Last Edit: Feb 18th, 2011 at 4:33pm by Neesierie » The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

But once I finally found a way to put them both into one tale, I simply couldn't resist! Chapter 2 is up. Enjoy! The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

Deb, you are right about that, if there is oddness about, Ed will find it! (Or it will find him.) Denise, aliens and faries is no more odd than UFO and Bonanza. What do you mean, we're out of coffee! I'm so glad you don't think I've finally lost my marbles to be writing about aliens and fairies in the same story! I know for myself that even a year ago, I couldn't have written this story. But every day I find my mind opening up to new concepts and ideas that stretch my imagination in ways it has never allowed itself to be stretched before. It's fun. In fact, I'm enjoying the byplay between Nyt and Straker so much that I may have to do a sequel. We'll see. The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

The interplay in this story is every bit as good as it was in Face Off. What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged

That's some compliment! Jackson was so very wily in that story, wasn't he? I thoroughly enjoy writing Jackson. Sheybal played him in such an intriguing way that it makes it easy for a fanfic writer to take what he gave us and run with it. You may have noticed that I alter him often to suit the mood of whatever story I'm currently writing (i.e. he was soothing in Devil, but intrusive in Face-Off.) This may seem odd to some, but it actually has a basis in canon. In the series, he is portrayed in many different lights depending on the episode. In fact, they often interchanged his personality with Shroeder's! So I feel completely free to take similar liberties in my stories. The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged
