When you least expect it Re: FDK About Face Reply #30 - Jul 28th, 2010 at 4:09pm Print Post Chapter 2 This is not going to be a long review.. there’s not a great deal of action in this chapter, but its a great chapter all the same! I love the description of Cait, and poor Ed having to restrain himself... hints at an unhappy childhood here. – potential for future stories I think I like the way he questions his own wisdom – guilt and remorse again as in Face Off. And the regrets; at actually having asked her out, and at the fact that any relationship could not survive due to his work. But also the gladness; that he has replaced his beloved mural that has been a constant reminder of their time together, and that, despite his misgivings, she has arrived and it is too late to forestall her. A gentle, enjoyable meal together with no pressure... until; he covers her hand with is ( I love the line... ‘and it trembled’) A delicate intimate meeting, calm and with the softest hints of passion in the phrases; ‘irresistible grin’ ‘lightly touched her cheek’ ‘shivers throughout her body’ ‘ a gentle meeting of lips’ Back to reality; ‘Straker,’ he answered a little grimly.......... ‘I’m on my way.’ Duty calls. As always. Lovely. I need some air. WWW IP Logged

In fact, I'm wondering if I may need a third story to fit it all in. But we'll see how it goes. There is just so much to cover. And I haven't even revealed why her ex is giving her trouble! (That one's a doozy!) IP Logged

Not only has he spent the past 13 years wanting her, but she's been dreaming of him (she just doesn't know it!) I'm actually rather surprised that they haven't fallen into bed together yet! Shall we attribute it to Cait's common sense or Straker's iron will? You decide. IP Logged

It took six weeks from the first date in my storyline! The longer that monment is held off the better the story! What do you mean, we're out of coffee! WWW IP Logged

(For the rest of her life? She planning on it being short? I hope not. Usually the non custodial parent is only obligated until the child reaches majority unless there's a health issue of some sort that would preclude the child becoming independent. Only knowing this from the outside.) And why isn't Cait custodial? Inquiring minds want to know. looking forward to more. <g> (as to his gentleman-ness, you can tell nothing from the Skulls. There were extenuating, external influences. LOL) d IP Logged

Because even if they hate him (which my kids do) they still end up inviting him to special days: graduations, weddings, new babies, etc. It never ends!!!!!!! IP Logged
