Technical advice appreciated please!
There are any number of approaches to achieving this and mine is undoubtedly
not the most efficient but it works for me.
On any web-based image, right click and copy image.
I then paste into Powerpoint, fiddle with the sizing and positioning and then, if I've got more than one image, I select all and group.
Then I copy and paste into Paint and save as a jpeg. Upload / host on Photobucket and post image link on here.
There are probably far easier ways to do it (ie, fewer steps) but it works for me because messing about with positioning in Powerpoint is easy and copying across to Paint allows me to save as a jpeg and it also reduces the resolution automatically.
I think I can export an image from Powerpoint and save as a .jpeg but I've been using this routine for some time and it's fast and works for me.
I've also got Photoshop but that seems a bit sledgehammer to crack a nut and I find it difficult to reduce file size without totally losing the resolution whereas my routine seems to deal with that without my intervention.
