But deep inside she felt a pang of guilt and emptiness that she couldn’t explain.
Huh

Too right you should feel a pang of guilt Ginny! You've left Ed at home looking after the kids! Angry
If you don't want him,. I 'll have him...but not the twins.. I've done my stint of childcare! Grin

I like this story Matt!!
Nice mix of old and new and good technobabble! ( that's something I always find hard to write!)

Denise,

I'm not sure how to approach this, I don't want Ginny to see the alien craft for what it is yet, but I want her to see flashbacks of the aliens and their hostile nature. Kind of like remembering a tramatic event. Undecided

I'll noodle it over and see if I can improve it! Smiley

I fixed the dialogue in the last post where Ginny first see's the UFO. I think this works a little better. I want the truth to be right on the edge of her memory, just out of reach! Wink

Hopefully this works better! Smiley

Just one query. Why was Ed rushing if he didn't know Virginia was missing?

I forgot to anwser your question, Louise, sorry.

I wanted to add to the drama, I may have to add a bit to clarify that. He is unable to sense her presence through the empathic link they share in the Soul Mates story arc. Smiley

Matt,
Yeah, you definitely need to add a bit to the story to show us when Ed suddenly can't sense her anymore.  It will add to the drama too!  Wink

Also, thanks for changing her thoughts just a bit when she sees the UFO!  It reads much more believable now.  She's a scientist, so she would tend to think in terms of the physical rather than the spiritual.  That was where it wasn't working before.

I really liked the trip into town.  And when she smiles at Ben -- well, we know he's a goner for sure!  Grin

Random Thoughts!

Virginia.... don't fall for Ben... he's a serial killer... three wives already? Huh

but;
if you did, then you wouldn't have to do any cooking! Smiley
or probably cleaning etc Wink

However;
no indoor plumbing
no  money,
no decent clothes

and

worst of all Shocked

no hairspray  ... how will you manage? Grin

Getting into this story Matt.. it's taken me some time, so be patient! :Smiley

That's why I considered having her wearing her hair long for this story. I still may do that on the final edit! Wink

I just have to piture it in my mind! Smiley

Its very interesting looking at pictures of Lady Penelope, Symphony Angel and Virginia Lake. they all have similar hairstyles.
I wonder if Sylvia Anderson had the same?

I think they were "styles of their time" but if you look at some of the images here with Sylvia Anderson and Lady P puppets, there appears to be some resemblance.

http://tinyurl.com/sylvia-anderson

(There are a few non-Sylvia Anderson Sylvia Andersons too - if you see what I mean).

I've always been a fan of long hair on a lady, but I also liked the way Ginny's hair was done! Smiley

I've seen the website that shows all three of them, Ginny, Lady P, and Symphoney Angel! Smiley

Was that on the rather unnervingly named "wetcircuit" website? I nicked these images individually from around the web and then grouped them - they definitely show a family resemblance.  Grin

The images aren't mine so if The Librarian would like me to remove the link, just say. Or indeed, feel free to just edit the link out of the post.  Cool
