I just returned from my local library where an author was featured for his new book, "Hint Fiction." It's an anthology of stories written in 25 words or less based on a contest he posted at his website a while ago. I was impressed by the stories, which remind me a lot of really well-written poems because of the compression and emphasis on every word being the right word. Here's his website for more info: http://www.robertswartwood.com/hint-fiction/ Personally, I think it might be fun to challenge our writers to write a hint fiction story about UFO. Any takers? : The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

So here's one to start off with! Forgotten Addendum to the Daily Report Rumor reported that Straker's exwife died today. The odd thing was that though the commander never left his office, Col. Freeman was never in his. The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged

Dealing with 25 words or less, it's so important not to be ambiguous in your meaning. I've revised the story to clarify it. See if this version plays out better. Lt. Ford's Forgotten Addendum to the Daily Report Commander Straker's exwife died today. The commander never left his office once all day. However, it was odd that Alec never came in at all. What do you think? Better? The sky is not the limit; nor are the stars. WWW IP Logged
