This is a story idea I've had in my head for a while, and something of a tribute to Denise's A Little Magic, which is  not only my favorite of all her stories, it's one I envy.  Grin
This was the plot bunny I caught earlier and when I got home after going to you know where, I knew how I wanted it to go.  Wink Not sure when I can finish this. I don't see this being a long story.
This is gloriously NOT canon.

Oh, God!  Jetlag!  Nothing's worse -- even torture!  You described it so well that I need a nap now.  Wink  And I just got up!

This is just a first draft of Paw.
Sigh, this is another example of me creating a minor character who is too much fun to just let go. Peter is driving Ed nuts, yes.
However, Peter is a very decent young man, very honest, caring and he now feels connected and obligated to Straker. Remember that.
I did have reservations (no pun intended) about putting Straker on Pan-Am, did the airline already fold in 1980? If it did, it's easy to change it. I'm leaving the bad airline food in.  Cheesy Ordinarily, Straker would have realized his suitcase would have been securily locked by Alec. So he'd know the suitcase had been switched or stolen or lost when it opened so easily. (There go his Nehru suits)  Shocked Since Straker is dealing with terminal (I swear I'm not consciously making these puns up) jet lag, he didn't think about that when he opens it. He's as badly stressed out as Alec says he is to be making mistakes of that nature.
Ed Straker's problems continue. For one thing, well- Lips Sealed

Denise, I've never had jet lag, but I've gone without sleep. I concur! Cheesy

Alec's enjoying success now, but when Straker gets back.....IF he gets back  Shocked

In knew I liked Peter for some reason! And love Ed's thoughts about how Ginny would react to being thought of as just a housewife! Nuke! Cheesy

The modeling world definitely collides with the acting world in many areas.  Are you sure she wouldn't have recognized him when he opened the door?   Huh

I like Peter.   Smiley

Another top model, even an American one, certainly might, but remember, she says this about Straker.

You're short, but reasonably good looking, I suppose.
What do you think of her observation of the Man? She's a taco short of a mexican dinner, she inhabits a universe of one. Her.  From the get go, she insults Straker.  A jetlagged Straker. Then she assumes because he doesn't melt before her loveliness, that he's gay, but that's not enough, she twists his sleeve spitefully.  Had Alec been there, he would have bought popcorn and watched from a safe distance.

Nah, Alec would have started the paperwork to cover her death.

A line my DH uses which you are all free to borrow: "I'd kill you but you're not worth the paperwork."   Grin

OMG!  Smiley  Yes, I will definitely use that one -- not in a story, but in real life!  Cheesy
