Okay, Matt.  You asked for it, and here it is!  An Ed/Ginny story.  Kiss  It wanted to be written so much that it preempted my sequel to "Another Place and Time."  So buckle your seatbelt and prepare for launch!

Powerful start Denise! Shocked I think I'm going to like this, it has the promise of lots of edge of your seat action and a romantic flare! Kiss

I guess I should get busy and finish my Seaview story. :Smiley

Actually, I don't know what sparked it!  All I know is that I woke up this morning with the first scene full-blown in my head.  The rest snuck in on its own.  It's really an old plotline of mine from my Sheila era, but changed up a bit and personalized by making Collins the ghost.  I really think it'll work great toward getting the two of them together.  What do you think?

I like it! It seems to fit in very well with the way I saw Ginny and Craig. Read the prologue of Silver Star and you'll see what I mean.

I think you have Ed and Ginny's interaction down as well. It's a very believable beginning. I think Amelia said it best, Ed valued her. Loved the bit about her hand shaking when he left the office. Smiley

Well, it's your own fault for showing me that Virginia might not have had an affair with every male in the command team but one!  So I'm going with it in the hopes that I can actually get these two together.  They're both so damned hard-headed that I'm not sure it can be done!  Wink

I tried once (a long time ago) to write a ghost UFO story.  It didn't turn out at all the way I'd planned, ending up as an interdimensional story instead.  But this time, I mean to keep it on track and not let it go anywhere else!  This story has wanted to be written for over 10 years, and I think I finally have the understanding and confidence to write it now.  We'll see, won't we?  Wink

Now that was an unexpected curve ball, but it adds to the drama. Wink

Most of your stories for that era followed a classic movie, The Code of Silence = A Midsummers Night Dream and all. (That was my fave in the Conover Saga BTW.) Is that the case for this one as well? :Smiley If so don't tell us which one, although I probably wouldn't get it anyway. Classic movies are not my strong suit, but someone else might. Wink

Glad you're enjoying it!  BTW, I rewatched TMWCB last night ( Tongue) to get the feel of the character for my story and realized that Ginny didn't warn Straker about Craig.  It was only Grey who did that.  I guess I thought you got that for your story from the episode, since it fit in so well.  I hope it's okay that I used it in my story too.  [pause]  Is it?  Huh

Actually, no.  This story doesn't follow a classic movie.  "Time for Anny" was the only other one that did besides those in the Conover Saga.  It used "The Wizard of Oz," a movie I've always hated.  But hey! -- it's got the best lines!  Cheesy

Of course you may use it! Smiley You're right, in the episode, it was Grey who warned him, but I have to believe that Ginny would have done the same thing, it just wasn't on camera! Wink
