What's really fun about it is that Ed knows him so well, so he's bound to play the protective older brother to the hilt! *snicker*  God, I love it!  Grin

The question is, would Ed's sister let him get away with it?  Shocked There's a thought to ponder. :Smiley

"if anyone could do it, it’s her…"

Okay.  Now you've done it!  You have to write a side story where the two of them get together!  Come on, Matt!  You know Alec's just been waiting for the right girl to tame him!  :Smiley

Kind of like opening Pandora's box. :Smiley This might work better than I had planned for Alec anyway. Let's see what I can come up with. With Barbara being in the military I see her more like Ed than she is different. Look out Alec!  Shocked

Okay, but I do want that Ed/Ginny story.  Cheesy

I have a title and storyline that will work well for this, and it fits in tha saga!  Wink

Not only does Alec find himself at Barb's mercy, he's going to be indebted to Dr. Jackson! Smiley

Just a note - "Cook's Tour" refers to Thomas Cook's tours of the 19th Century. So the name should be capitalized. To send someone on a "Cook's Tour" is to give them a very regimented and cursory visit.

I liked their conversation in the car leaving the airport.  At least until they reached the lines from the episode.  Those were awful!  But then, several of the lines in that episode were pathetic.  Oh, well.  It's still one of my faves to watch.  Cool

Those lines by themself seemed to make no sense unless you took them as friendly banter. The bit about moon speeds would have been an insult to her intelligence. I tried to make the conversation leading up to this point support that.  Cheesy How'd I do?

Quite well.  It even made the original lines palatable!  Cool

Done! Still need to do final edit before I send it to the library. Wink

Yes Denise, I've commited myself to writing more about Barb and Alec. Cheesy

Glad to hear it!  Smiley

Nice story, Matt.  How long before you get to Dark Shado?

Probably not for a while yet, Soul Mates is going to need a rewrite, and I want to expand A Matter of Principle and add it to the saga, just after Silver Star. I'm not going to change too much, just the format. Soul Mates will become three separate stories and the part where Ed and Virginia tie the knot, will become part of Lines of Communications. Genetics is next, look for a lot of Alec and Barb in that story followed by Dark SHADO. As you can see, I've got a lot of work to do. I also have to do the last two stories, For Better or For Worse, and The Omega Conundrum. Lots of plot bunnies to chase. Cheesy
