The stupidest thing she ever did was let John run out into the road then turn around and blame poor Ed. You don't know how close I came to breaking cannon in Mission of Mercy and have Ginny go up to Mary and slap her at the hospital. In the end I felt Ginny had much more class than that! 

Well, it's taken about 10 years to reach 32,500 words - albeit with about 7 years' of writer's block.

I tend to write whilst my son's skating, so it tends to be blocks of an hour or so

It must be remembered that Gerry did not have a 'Normal' upbringing - his parents were almost constantly arguing - his mother was particularly dominant and I really don't think he had a lot of love during his formative years. because of the tense atmosphere, he became very introverted and found it very difficult to relate to other people, particularly women. This may go some way to explain why he's been married three times now.
I could believe that Sylvia could hit him - she seems to have been a very dominant personality

I didn't coin "screecher creature."  I think Pam did.  Or Anny.  Somebody in the old group years ago.  But the name suited so well that it kinda stuck.
