Deb,

Is there a way to preserve the line spacing when you post a story? I know if you want italics or bold it has to be done by hand.

Thanks,

The code for the board uses what is called UBB. To get the spacing requires actually adding in extra line breaks. - This is actually part of UBB security - it strips out everything but the text - BUT, try HTML to UBB. In this case, convert the document to html (in Winword it's >Save as Web Page, filtered.) However, be advised that most word processing programs add a lot of junk to their html.

OR, just add extra line breaks (Search and replace should do it.) and then just undo it when you're done copying the text into the message box.

belated answer: If I post from Word it preserves the posting. If I post from Open Office, I have to go put my extra lines in again. don't ask, I don't know. LOL

I'm just thick.  Embarrassed

I stick spaces in by hand. Shocked

Takes me ages. Angry

Nothing better to do though! Wink
