It works out at 168 seconds.

This makes no assumptions about any horizontal component of the motion owing to the forward motion of the aircraft from which he's jumping. For maximum velocity, he should adopt a head down position

Thanks!  Knew there would be someone(s) out there who could help!! Even the ICT tteacher and the Science teacher couldn' t find any info!

I can get on now and let the  plane take  off!! Grin
