dragon has successfully become completely loony, I'm sitting here trying to figure out how Daniel Jackson and Doug Jackson are related. Not for a story, just a completely errant thought as I started on the next section of one of the stories.

Sheer loonacy!

You could start one of those '5 handshakes' posts... Not as 'related' but as linked by something.

Doug Jackson shook hands with Henderson... Nah,,, toooooo easy.

Okay, let me think about this;

Doug Jackson was initially emplyed by Henderson
Henderson is the big boss of the IAC
One of the IAC members is Duvall
Duvall is French
The French have a military organisation called The Foreign Legion
One of the punishments the Foreign LEgion used was to bury their soldiers in sand
Ancient Egyptians buried their dead in sand
Daniel Jackson was an expert on ancient Egypt.

Easy!

Bet someone could do it in less steps! (but it's fun to drag it out!) :Smiley

Where? Bill? or perhaps the six whatsits of Kevin Bacon?

Kevin Bacon starred in Tremors
Tremors are caused by Earthquakes
Earthquakes occur along plate boundaries such as the Ring of Fire
The Ring of Fire includes Hawaii
Hawaii is home to several large telescopes
Telescopes are sometimes used to track objects such as Spacecraft on lunar missions
Spacecraft on lunar missions  included Apollo 13
Apollo 13 was a film staring ...... Kevin Bacon.

Hi,

I actually felt a tad sorry for Clinton. In France a prez two-timing his wife gets a whole lot respect from his people (to the point of the lover being allowed to walk behind the coffin at the official funeral), the Americans hound theirs...  Shocked

Believe it or not, my problem wasn't so much with what he did as much as it was the fact that he lied about it! Angry He should have just kept his mouth shut to the press anyway. And the press nowdays has no respect for the office. Back in the days of JFK, that would have never happened.

On a personal note, I don't have much use for two timing spouses regardless if they are in politics or not. I still consider marriage a scared bond. I guess I'm just too old fashioned. Smiley

That's not something to be ashamed of, Matt.  'Old-fashioned' is much preferred by those with a little wisdom under their belts.  Let the idiots of the world ruin their lives if they want.  In the end, the wise will still be standing.  (But I know you already know this.)  Wink

Hi Matt,

awww LOL - but what should he have answered to those questions? If I remember correctly he had not many options of avoiding them with that blood hound on his trail.

Nope, I think the sexlife of politicians (and other VIPs) is relevant only to the people involved (unless we're talking of rape or sex with children).

How do we know Hillary Clinton hadn't known and given her okay to what was happening? And it was just the question of not exposing the parties involved? Happens occasionally, ya know?  Wink

Denise,
Oh I'm not ashamed, I've always been my own man and never fit the mold. That's why I often find myself odd man out so to speak. Wink

Guina,
I wouldn't have been at all surprised if Hillary did know and gave her blessings. As to what he said to the media, "My personal life is none of your business." would have worked quite nicely, especially if Hillary knew. Cheesy

And if she didn't, well there is an old saying, "If you want to dance, you've got to pay the piper." Smiley

I think the biggest problem with Clinton was that they were looking for something to hang him with and did not care what it was: Whitewater, Monica, etc. It allowed the media to overlook what good he did while in office. Always thought it was interesting that six months after his successor was in office, the new deficit was Bill's fault; when he left office without a deficit ... Yeah. Pull the other one. (No, I'm not a democrat or a republican ... they're all crooks! LOL)
