I tend to play around with certain themes and scenarios more than others.  Perhaps this may seem repetitious to some, but to me it's merely a chance to explore some other avenue of the same idea.  In this story, we deal with amnesia again!  I just love amnesia stories!!!  Cheesy  Only this time, the person with amnesia is different from every other scenario I've worked with in the past.  So it's a whole new ballgame, even though the theme remains the same.  I hope you'll enjoy this story as it unfolds.  Personally, I can't wait till the end myself, since I have no idea what will happen!  Shocked

I noticed that he still has the swoon effect on the ladies, even offworld.  :Smiley

Great start. Smiley

I was just thinking about my amnesia/time travel story today.  That was a lot of fun! Cheesy I still don't know how I managed to pull that one off.  :Smiley

Pam sent me a note on Marc's e-group, she wants to read it! BTW she sent you an open letter, if you haven't seen it already.  Wink

I think the offworld aspect of this is an interesting twist.  Smiley

I saw her post.  She'll like the story.  I was surprised how much I liked it myself.  Not because of you, of course, but because it was a western.  Undecided  You did excellent work with that one, Matt!   Smiley Smiley

Did you ever read her Dallas crossover? Deep in the Heart of Texas I was amazed as to how well that worked. JR was outgunned and outclassed!  Cheesy

I roared over Lucy and Paul.  Smiley

Yeah, it was a real trip to read.  I never watched Dallas, but I knew the personalities of the characters, because the previews gave enough away in themselves.  I really liked her take on it.  She's awesome.  Smiley

It wouldn't be Straker if he didn't despise Jackson (at least, according to several of the episodes anyway.)  Wink

BTW, my daughter is enjoying him having such a common-type name.  Of course, even she doesn't know yet the real meaning behind his name.  But it's intriguing that she likes it.  What are your thoughts?  Inquiring minds are inquiring!  Cheesy

I figured there was something behind the name, but I have no idea what it is. I'm sure it will become clear later in the story. Wink It's a very interesting plot.

I just finished and posted the rest of Chapter 8 for Absence and I just have to write the epilogue. I'm not sure yet where this story will go in my saga. Because I used flashback I may put it after the first part of Soul Mates once I do the rewrite. I'm thinking it will be a better overall story once it's broken up and edited. Smiley

If you mean the name Gar Barusch for the Commander, I totally agree with the Gar part of it, Denise.  Wink As for Barusch I believe I agree with it too, if I've interpreted it correctly.  Lips Sealed
